Greetings.

Having seen both sides of the state agency coin, I can say that what Charles
and/or Sharon are saying holds true for some, but not all, state agencies or
counselors within same.  I've seen counselors in, say, New York who were far
more inclined to go with the client's best interest vis a vis their
capabilities and/or interests, and others in ... Another state that wasn't
New York ... That, as you described, wanted you to be their puppet.  Still
... An agency that would try to shunt you into their vending stand program
regardless of what you wanted to do?  That's bananas.  Not saying it doesn't
happen, but that almost sounds like somebody's getting kickbacks where they
shouldn't be.
