Hi Jonathan, I have a Netgear card, it's the MA 701, I believe. I thought I saw a message indicating that the Netgear wireless card I have has been tested? Thanks. Best Regards,

The Cisco ones fit into the PCMCIA slot on the right of your BrailleNote. These cards are a little more difficult to find, and they tend to be a bit more expensive, however they may be preferable if you want to leave the compact flash slot in the rear of your BrailleNote free for data storage. The Ambicom card fits into the compact flash slot. In either case, the cards take the place of your Ethernet card. That is to say, wireless Ether net is an alternative to conventional Ethernet. Windows CE 4.2 only supports 802.11B, the slower standard of wireless Ethernet. But this is still adequate for most purposes, especially the Net. If you tell your computer store that the device you want to use the card on runs on Windows CE, they should understand this. If you elect to purchase the Ambicom card, the one that goes in the compact flash slot, and you also want to use compact flash storage, then you could always get a really cheap adaptor for your compact flash card. This will allow the compact flash card to be inserted into the PCMCIA slot on the right of the BrailleNote. I have never heard of a single compact flash storage card that has given the BrailleNote a problem so you should be fairly safe purchasing any card. I hope this helps and best of luck. I called my local computer store today and read them the info from the Web site for the wireless cards. They wanted to know if the carss were made for 800211 G or 200811 G something like that anyway. Something about those numbers deal with how much infformation is arransmitted per second. Do I need some type of adapter either from PDI or the computer store to use the wireless card? They were going to check on the pricing because they currently don't have either brand in stock. They said I'd be able to plug it into my wireless router so hopefully I can finally use the wireless part of my Internet service. Right now how I access the Internet is through my Etheernet card which is inserted into the slot on the back of the BN. Is this where the wireless card will go? If so I guess I don't need the Etheernet card then? If I am able to use wireless service or using the Etheernet card how would I be able to download books onto a compact flash card if that slot is already being used? I know there's that slot on the right side rthe BN but I'm not sure what it's supposed to do. I've used it before for the disk drive. Maybe it's supposed to be used with that adapter thing that came with the BN? Is there a liing on PDI's Web site that tells what Compact Flash cards can work with the BN? Or a list of those PACCAMIC cards or what^e the word is that work with the BN? I just want to make sure I have all of the correct information before purchasing anything. Thanks for your time and your help.
