Hi. Try changing the reading mode of the BN. Press M with the spacebar
till you hear line. It might fix the problem. As far as the dollar sign
thing I was stumped on that myself. I'm glad someone finally straightened
that out for me.

Jonathon;
Please look at the e-mails between ronda, Seville and Terry Powers. Have
you ever seen a BT act this way. What do you think could be the cause? I
have made files before and this has not happened. I have 5.1. I am not
sure that I have done so since I got the upgrade at convention.
Thanks for your help. I can always rewrite this little bit over if it will
help.

Terry Powers from MD

Terry, use space with g (dots 1,2,4,5 to read the entire document; space
with dot 4 is stated, in the review commands list, to move forward a
sentence, but it isn't moving for me either. I duplicated your file, as
best I knew and had to use space with dot 5 to move a word at a time.
Don't know why that is happening.
With regard to your files, I believe your braillenote is set for Braille
grade 2 files.

Hi ronda;
I do not know what kind of file it is. I called it nut sales. It
opened
with no trouble.
For the semicolon I am using dots 2,3. For the dollar sign I first used
the
lower case d. Then I tried dot 4s, now I am using 4,6s. I am not sure
if
the 4,6 is right, but I think it is, because the space4 will not read
past
the semicolon.

How is your file named? Is it a text file, or what type? If you are
using
computer braille, your dollar sign is 1-2-4-6. Your semicolon is a 5-6.
If
you use dots 2-3, it's a nukber two.

Hi everyone;
I am having a few strange happenings to. I want to keep my imfo about
nut
sales on the BT for the first time.
I opened the file, named the file and typed the first line of the
order.
What is the dollar sign on the BT?
I have a semicolon after the persons name and I can not get the BT to
read
past the name. It is taking the name as a sentence instead of the
whole
line.
Please help me out. This should not be happening.
thanks.

OK ... I did call Tech Support here in the US, but thought I would
share
anyhow.

Earlier this morning at school, I tried to access my address book and
the
BN
just froze. I did a reset and got something about bad clusters. It
happened again when I tried to get into my email. So I called
Pulsedate
Humanware Tech Support and talked to Chris. He says it's a hard disk
problem. Lovely. :P So, I thought well I can nurse this BN along
until
the
semester ends--then I'll have no choice but to send it in for repairs
anyhow, so might as well get the hrd disk looked at. I can live with
that.

Then, I remembered that I had some important data on my flash disk in
my
'general' folder, so I moved not copied, the stuff to one of my flash
cards.
Now, voila! I am able to get into my inbox. Admittedly, it's taking a
while to delete an email, and I'm not sure what's going to happen.
It's
just one of those strange things. I'm assuming I'll need to get that
flash
disk looked at anyhow.

I just had to write. Thanks for listening.
