Ferdinand is my Braille Note. I named it that because the first receiver I
used with the gps program was a Majellan 310 receiver.

Hi Mary Ellen,
Is Ferdinand a type of embosser or is it a personal name you have given
it?

Don't have an embosser.
I don't use ferdinand to print or any of that stuff. If I want to print,
I
move the file over to the IBM and print it from there..

Mary Ellen,
If you have an embosser, you will need Ferdinand to emboss any files you
create with that PK.

not know what the situation is now.
My primary use will be the gps for the Pk and Oh yes, good old Ferdinand
will have a new life as a Braille Display for the IBM so never fear, I
will put it to good use and will also continue to avail myself to the
book
reader on the original Bn.

This message is primarily directed at Rhonda Clark. Were you given to
understand that Humanware did not have any PKs in stock at this time,
and no parts either?
Interesting.

Rhonda,
If Germany or Handytech isn't selling them, then it's a problem. to be
honest, I'd love to sell mine. It's only five months old. I hardly use
it.

I need to ask a question about the pk as well, but not in the same

new pk's. How much of a problem is this?

Subject: [Braillenote] Questions about PK as compared to BN with
BrailleKeyboard
Dear all,
I am wondering how the two different types of note-takers compare
with one
another. What does the PK do that the BN does not and visaversa, and
for
those of you who seem to have both, do you use each in different
circumstances?
The PK comes with BlueTooth, is that right?
Does that make it a more effective tool for using with the GPS
system(s),
and does that allow for streaming audio from the web?
Does the PK come with a qwerty keyboard, or only a braille keyboard?
How many cells is the braille display?
Do both allow for wireless connectivity?
Thanks for your help and information.
Penny
