I think the standard BrailleNote would be lighter than a laptop and you could have a QWERTY keyboard instead of the braille keyboard. You can emboss or print files with the standard BN but not with the BN PK.

I've seen some 3 pound laptops on some of the computer store websites, but they're quite pricey. Then, you'd have to add the screen reader and a BN or other braille display and, boy, that could run into big bucks!
