Hi Everyone - After spending many weeks reading online, I recently purchased a Brewtus II. The past week of waiting has been excruciating, but Brewtus finally arrived today.
I get him unpacked, remove the protective plastic, wash and fill the reservoir, and turn him on. The red light flashes on and then off, which is accompanied by a single click. The temperature gauge reads 13. All of this seems normal. Per the user manual, I then lift the control lever on the brewgroup to engage the pump and begin filling the boilers, and nothing. No actions or sounds whatsoever. My espresso knowledge thus far is limited to a Starbucks Barista, and what I've read (primarily from Schomer, or on the Net), so I fully expect the problem here is user error.
