I was just doing a backflush of my machine with Cafiza, and put the powder
in the blind PF as usual, then pressurized the machine, and turned off the
pump (leaving pressure on the group). Thinking I'd do two things at once, I
pulled a pitched of hot water off the wand for cleaning other things.

This depressurized the group, which surprised me (I'm not all that familiar
with the flow of the plumbing). I guess it makes sense, since both boilers
and the group are downstream from the pump.

After this, the water from the steam boiler seems to be running clear, but
it took me forever to clear the Cafiza from the group. I must have flushed
two quarts of water through and it's still slightly cloudy. This is not
normal for me.

So I'm wondering whether I inadvertently drew Cafiza into the brew boiler,
and/or steam boiler? Is this possible?

I'll keep diluting, but man my pump is getting a workout.

tx,
