I doubt anyone is going to reassure you that this will be a success. I think 
we already have reason to believe, from reports, that the power components 
of the Brewtus have not been excessively engineered, meaning that they did 
not specify power components that had an amp rating well above the expected 
load. But maybe I am wrong about that.

One thing is for sure: if you make the modification, you will find out the 
answer to your question. And, if you find that the answer if "no", and it 
does not burn down your house, you can substitute high amperage components 
for those that fail as each failure takes place and is diagnosed.

Personally I would not do it. I would prefer to buy a new machine that 
(hopefully) has been engineered for the increased power consumption.
