While looking for reminders or new information about descaling my
beloved B-II, I came across this:
http://www.home-barista.com/tips/descaling-expobar-brewtus-3r-t12047.html

Not much in the way of concrete advice, but it got me thinking.
I descaled my boilers by opening up the most convenient bits on their
tops, siphoning to empty, siphoning in the citric acid solution,
waiting four hours, and siphoning to empty. After that is was the
familiar routine of running as much clear water through everything as
patience would allow.

Now I look forward to another year of minimal maintenance.
