I actually have an office lever, not a brewtus, but this problem could
possibly occur in the brewtus as well, based on pictures I have seen
of the unit.
My office lever suddenly began to trip my ground fault circuit as it
began to warm up. After taking the unit covers off and cleaning, I
discovered that the ground wire that was attached to the top of the
boiler was loose. The screw hole has limited depth; it was not
possible to tighten further, so I made a washer to go on top of the
eye fitting. Now the connection is tight and the unit no longer flips
the GFI. One caution, if you need this fix, use compatible materials
(copper, brass, SS) to avoid corrosion.

BTW, if there is a group somewhere for the office lever, could someone
let me know?
