No, the OPV is attached via fittings to the pump and then there's the return hose to the water tank and the high pressure hose which (without taking the back off again I can't quite remember) goes either directly to the boiler or to the valve block (which I presume is a solenoid?). There's another shorter one at the top between the two boilers which has given me no trouble. I think the main problem is that with the case closed the pipe is pressed up close to the boiler so even though the boiler is insulated, it will get hot and wear out quickly. I could probably get a higher grade of plastic pipe but I know some machines have stainless braided internal hoses so thought it would be good to upgrade.
