On my IV-R, the clearance to the bottom of the group head is 5 3/16". I have a single spout on my portafilter and it is very close in dimensions to the double spout and it's 3 1/2" to the drip tray. I use one of the Anchor 5 ounce glasses and it fits right under with a slight tilt being necessary.
