Thank you Bruce! Last night I took a wrench to the vacuum relief valve and found that o-ring. I had a small amount of scale that easily scraped off. This morning I did not hear the hissing sound so maybe the manual scale removal helped a bit. It was still obviously worn so I will take the piece with me to Ace to see if I can find a replacement this weekend. Between that and the descaler (which I apparently do need!) we'll see what happens with the temperature problems. Appreciate your help again!
