P.S.  I realized overnight that I didn't carry through my comment about the 
power switch.  What I was trying to say was:  since the power cord matches the 
US color standard (black/white/green for hot/neutral/ground), you end up with 
sort of a funky arrangement on the power switch.  On one side of the switch, 
you have a black wire from the power cord going to a white hot wire to the 
machine.  On the other side of the switch, you have a white neutral wire from 
the power cord going to a blue neutral wire to the machine.

So far so good with the wiring arrangement mentioned below on the new 
controller.

And if I didn't mention it, the new controller from WLL was $72, cheaper than 
repairing the old one.  And I believe the new one is an upgrade from the old.
