Just to add to this... My machine needs a bit of work: new PID, new boiler insulation, and potentially a new safety valve. The big issue (see the recent thread of mine on removing the thermoprobe) is that the current thermoprobe will not come out. It's about 6 1/2 years old, well maintained, vibe pump (replaced a year and a half ago), recently replace the pressure stat, grouphead gasket, pressure relief valve, and some tubing.
