So, my Brewtus II started tripping the GFCI receptacle in the kitchen.
Thought maybe the GFCI was getting old since the machine heated fine using
another receptacle. Well, that didn't last long. The steam boiler was
heating fine but the brew boiler was extremely slow in coming up to temp.
Last time I tried, I stopped it at about 50C. Took the machine to a
different GFCI receptacle in the kitchen and it tripped.

Took the case off, started pulling wires off the brew boiler and once I
pulled the blue wire, all was fine, no tripped GFCI. Of course this isn't
good news. Between the case (or the boiler) and one of the brew element's
terminals, the resistance is infinity, the other 6 ohms.

Can I assume the heating element is kaput?

Thanks for advice or feedback.

Jonathan
