Folks I tried to post this as a topic but it keeps getting deleted, this is a relevant thread so asking here - *even a quick thought would be great!*
Have an offer for $700 for a 2009 refurbished Expobar leva 1 (I think branded Brewtus III), Here are some photos of the machine in question (the boiler condition worries me but not sure if this is normal....) *photos: *https://imgur.com/a/NY44vlX Its manufactured 2009, single owner, seller says its been refurbished by a service company and has a rebuilt E61 group, new electronics/control board and a new vacuum breaker. Asking $700 Questions: 1. is this a good deal? 2. what are the key things to test/check? how long can I expect this machine to run before needing repair? I'm quite handy, but was wondering if this is entering the "breaks down every other month" part of life...I have a new Gaggia Classic Pro that I'm using at the moment, for comparison. 3. is it a significant jump over the Gaggia? My wife will murder me if I start pining for another upgrade any time soon...
