My understanding is that stainless steel is an incredible pain in the ass
to weld, and work with overall. This is what makes it expensive.

The Brewtus is very noticeably built to a price (especially when you
compare it to higher body machines), and in my opinion I’d opt for a higher
end machine instead of retrofitting. You simply won’t get your money back
out of it if you bling out a Brewtus- but of course if you’re doing it
exclusively for personal satisfaction then it’s different.

I would argue there’s no real point in going to a stainless boiler if
you’re going to run your hot water through Teflon tubing anyway. One of the
reasons I went with an Olympia Is that there’s far less Teflon interacting
with the water, as well as the chrome steel boiler.
