folks - what are the thoughts on in-tank water softeners that attach to the water teflon pipe, for those of us that are not plumbed in? I got my BIII used and it didnt have one of these.
The whole latte love version (unclear if can be recharged, replenished or how long it lasts): https://www.wholelattelove.com/products/expobar-water-softener-cartridge Amazon generic version (can be recharged and lasts about a year it seems for home use): https://www.amazon.com/Espresso-Machine-Softener-Quickmill-Rancilio/dp/B07JFYFS33/ref=sr_1_4?crid=3CT2VVA31UCN4&dchild=1&keywords=espresso+machine+water+softener&qid=1597871693&sprefix=espresso+machine+water+soft%2Caps%2C151&sr=8-4 Anyone know how these work? Do they just soften water or also help with minerals? I noted the amazon version is recharged with salt water, was wondering if it could also help the taste. Right now I have Brita water going to my reservoir (the benefits of being in NYC, water is espresso worthy already, the Brita is just additional protection) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Brewtus" group.
