Hey there triplereef—interesting point you bring up re water pressure. Is your machine rotary? With vibe, the OPV should take care of it woth no restrictor needed in my experience. With rotary, you may not know but there’s an adjustment on the pump also that lets you control output—very similar to the OPV but takes two spanners IIRC. My house pressure is off the charts and I’ve never needed a reducer (well, in fairness, we reduce at the meter from 105 psi to 55psi to keep from blowing up ice maker lines and garden hoses!). I used both vibe and rotary with a brewtus 2 and now ecm synchronika on the 55psi setup. Always open to learning something new though!
Tom’s gauge is toast though—it fluctuates during constant pressure, spins backwards, and doesn’t move after pressure release, etc. He’s chasing ghosts.
