Ive opened failed ones and the contacts are welded. Other times the plastic has been cooked and is crumbling. I wonder if root cause is too many amps through that little relay. I’ve always thought to add a larger relay to switch the current and have the pstat just control the relay switching. Fortunate we can get these mater things for $25 - could be lots worse!
My car originally routed all the headlight amps through the stalk switch behind the steering wheel which eventually cooks the expensive and inaccessible switch. A common upgrade adds a big relay so stalk only directs milliamperes. On Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 4:03:07 AM UTC-7 Michael Endacott wrote: > When I get a pressure relief situation.
