Hello All! I have patched the code into the kernel and successfully compiled it. The bridge works fine.
I think it may be a little slower than a regular switch. I will find out for sure when I get it on the smart bits (www.netcom.com) My problem is that whenever I try to set up a rule in iptables, I get the following error. [root@localhost brctl]# iptables -A OUTPUT > out.txt /lib/modules/2.4.9-6/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.o: init_module: Device or resource busy /lib/modules/2.4.9-6/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.o: insmod /lib/modules/2.4.9-6/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.o failed /lib/modules/2.4.9-6/kernel/net/ipv4/netfilter/ip_tables.o: insmod ip_tables failed iptables v1.2.1a: can't initialize iptables table `filter': iptables who? (do you need to insmod?) Perhaps iptables or your kernel needs to be upgraded. I have (or at least tried) to compile it into the kernel. _______________________________________________ Bridge mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.math.leidenuniv.nl/mailman/listinfo/bridge
