Hello,
I am using RH 2.2.14-5.0 with bridging patch.
PC1--| |
| eth0 ------------ wlan0 ---------- eth0 |
|----------| AP | o o o o o o | client |-------|
| ------------ ---------- |
---| wlan0 |------
PC2
| |
AP config:
brctl addbr brg0
brctl addif brg0 eth0
brctl addif brg0 wlan0
ifconfig brg0 192.168.15.1 broadcast 192.168.15.255 netmask
255.255.255.0
(Everything else is default)
Client config:
brctl addbr brg0
brctl addif brg0 eth0
brctl addif brg0 wlan0
ifconfig brg0 192.168.15.10 broadcast 192.168.15.255 netmask
255.255.255.0
(Everything else is default)
Problem:
PC2 cannot ping PC1 or bridge interface IP (192.168.15.1) of AP.
AP:
brctl showmacs brg0
port no mac addr is local ageing timer
2 00:02:72:00:02:af yes
0.00 -------> wlan0 (AP)
2 00:02:72:00:02:be no
9.01
1 00:03:47:92:33:11 no
2.63 -------> PC1
1 00:03:b3:01:25:31 yes 0.00
-------> eth0 (AP)
Client:
brctl showmacs brg0
port no mac addr is local ageing timer
2 00:02:72:00:02:af no
0.00
2 00:02:72:00:02:be yes 9.01
--------> wlan0(client)
2 00:03:47:92:33:11 no 6.44
--------> PC1
1 00:03:47:92:33:d1 no 0.00
--------> PC2
1 00:03:b3:01:25:70 yes 0.00
--------> eth0 (client)
The PC2 MAC address is not propagated from the client bridge to the AP
bridge.
Is there anything I am missing in the configuration? Why is the eth0
associated MAC
addresses of the client bridge not learned by the AP?
Thanks for your help.
..Ram
