Hello, Pardon my ignorance, this is my first experience setting up a bridge.
My job is to replace an aging and no longer login capable Sun box acting as a bridge with a Linux version. In the current scenario, the Sun bridge has an IP address on the 192.168.1 network of 127 and all the machines on that network use it as their default route. Its other NIC is connected to another network that is connected to the rest of the world. I have a Pentium II 400 mhz machine with two NICs to replace it. I have the bridging code enabled and working, I believe, but there must be more to the puzzle. I set the bridge up to have an address of 192.168.1.220 and point a machine on that network to it as a default route, but nothing goes through. I can ping the bridge IP address. So what do I need to do differently?
