Hello all,

I have been battling with a Redhat 7.1 install, with 2.4.2-2. I modified
the 2.4.18 patch to reflect the kernel, and the patch seems to have been
applied ok.

Basically my problem is I can't get the kernel reconfigured
correctly. I've done this many times before, but for some reason on this
7.1 box the kernel keeps hanging on reboot, no matter what I try.

My question is, on the website there are precompiled kernel rpm's for
redhat 7.2. Can these rpm's be applied to a 7.1 box, or will that present
problems? I can keep plugging away at the recompile, but it'd save me a
lot of time if I could use this RPM.

Thank you,

Tim
