Hello folks.
I have successfully pathced, compiled and set up my kernel 2.2.20 based
system as a bridge using the bridge tools, everything is working just fine.
(thanx for this nice solution by the way)
While doing this i noticed that the Linux kernel distribution also have
some sort of bridge support built in to it (CONFIG_BRIDGE and
CONFIG_BRIDGE_NUM_PORTS in kernel config).
I have tried to search the internet for information about the mysterious
Linux-2.2.x bridge but just found a notice in your FAQ that states that the
stock code is "messy and ugly"
Is the linux-2.2.x bridge outdated, or dead since nobody seems to talk
about it? The source code comments which contains information about fixes
are dated jan/feb-98 !
Could someone please explain the difference between the two bridging
systems? Are they infact the same ?

Best regards
Mikael
