In general, it's good to keep emails short anyway. I don't know about
other people, but my inbox has over 200 unanswered emails right now
(at least 80 of which are bridge-related (private!) mails), and I'm
likelier to pick short questions first :-)

Does your bridge machine have a route back to the client where
the request originated from?  It's entirely likely that the packets
arrive at the bridge, but the bridge  doesn't have a route to
send them back to.
