[Bridge] bridge firewall

dear sir:

   I am using  "bridge-utils_0.9.4.orig.tar.gz" and 
"bridge-nf-0.0.6-againist-2.4.18.diff" to construct a pure bridge firewall in linux 
system(2.4.18),but when  the iptables can not
work. how can I do?
