Hello, I've just put a reworked version of the bridge-nf online. The files can be downloaded through the ebtables source code section: http://users.pandora.be/bart.de.schuymer/ebtables/sourcecode.html The files are called: bridge-nf-0.0.10-pre1-against-2.4.20-pre7.diff for 2.4.x bridge-nf-0.0.10-dev-pre1-against-2.5.39.diff for 2.5.x bridge-nf-0.0.10-dev-pre1-against-2.5.39-comments.txt for the comments
(For 2.4 you need to first apply the ebtables patch) If you only want bridge-nf in the kernel, then just enable netfilter in your kernel and don't check any ebtables options. There is a .txt that contains some more explaining about the code (as promised). Lennert, could you read the code + .txt file? It is much more readable now, I think. The comments are clearer too. If something is unclear, could you tell me (private mail is fine)? I think the patch is in a shape in which I'd dare to put it on the lkml. Well, atleast after some people have tested it. There are various reasons for people on this list to give this patch a thorough testing: - when we get bridge-nf in the standard kernel, it'll be something that looks like this patch, - the syslog message storm bug is fixed, so you can (and should) compile your kernel with netfilter debugging, - it's kind of a big update, so testing is advised, - I ask it so kindly, - etc. -- cheers, Bart _______________________________________________ Bridge mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.math.leidenuniv.nl/mailman/listinfo/bridge
