I have configured a
bridge for both the 2.4.17 and 2.4.19 kernels. I have been successful in
passing Ethernet traffic between two Ethernet ports, an Ethernet port and a 1394
port with the Ethernet interface enabled, and an Ethernet port and a proprietary
device.
My problem is when I
enslave a device to the bridge I lose Ethernet connectivity for about 30
seconds. I cannot ping out and I cannot mount an external file
system. I keep getting "No route to host", but my route table looks
fine. Then after 30 seconds it works again.
Any
ideas?
