I guess what you need is raw socket. If you are root then you can generate arbitrary frame format. This is most frequently used for sniffer and security tools. Look for libnet and libpcap. Those are your friend. I am damn sure a bridge will not help you, but if you have two separate ethernet segment and want to communicate accross those, then a bridge might help a lot.
