I want to control ARPs emitted/received by my box. I tried to use ebtables for that with 2.4.20, and that seemed to be compiled and set up just fine. I disabled ARPs by a rule in ebtables' OUTPUT chain. But my box actually continued to emit ARPs as evidenced by tcpdump. Ping from other box also worked, I conclude ARPs hit the wire. I am sorry but here I don't have exact ebtables setup script, it's at home at the moment... will post it from there this evening.
