Hi folks, A stupid question: when setup bridge, we are supossed to use configure the interfaces to "promiscious" mode like following: ... ifconfig eth0 0.0.0.0 promisc up ifconfig wlan0 0.0.0.0 promisc up ifconfig br0 x.x.x.x promisc up ...
But I found if we don't use "promisc", the bridge still works fine, can not find any difference using ethereal to capture the packets. Any one explain this to me?
