My current setup is this [Linksys wireless AP running DHCP]----)))))(((((((-----[linux laptop with 1 pcmcia card and 1 wired pcmcia card]-----wired connection------[desktop computer]
With this setup and the laptop as the bridge the desktop computer will successfully pull a dhcp address off the linksys ap. nothing after that will work. i cannot ping the AP from the desktop and i cannot ping anything past the AP. The configuration on the laptop is: Slackware Linux 2.4.18(default setup with bridge module) The wireless card is an SMC using the wlan-ng drivers just as your site states it should. [bridge info] http://www.the-cia.org/bridgeinfo/bridge-system.txt [bridge /var/log/messages] http://www.the-cia.org/bridgeinfo/messages.txt [bridge tcpdump] http://www.the-cia.org/bridgeinfo/bridge-tcpdump.txt and here is the PC info [pc info] http://www.the-cia.org/bridgeinfo/pc-system.txt [pc tcpdump] http://www.the-cia.org/bridgeinfo/pc-tcpdump.txt It seems to work great till i go to pass ip traffic across the bridge. please respond to my email directly as i am not a member of the mailing list. _______________________________________________ Bridge mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.math.leidenuniv.nl/mailman/listinfo/bridge
