Hello!

Could you tell me will following configuration work?

We have two cisco catalyst switches, they are connected together through
Linux router with
2  intel e1000 interfaces.

Catalyst1<->Linux<->Catalyst2

We can't connect two catalysts together over gigabit, just because we need
to have
gigabit connection to linux box and we have no free ports :-(

All is OK, Linux works as a router.
But we found that we need to have some ports in the same ip subnet in
Catalyst1 and Catalyst2.

I hope that if we'll use bridging code on Linux and set port modes on
catalysts to trunk all will be OK,
i.e. catalysts will work in one VTP domain. Will this work?

If yes, we need also do routing between vlans on this linux box.

As I understand I need to create bridging device br0 over eth0 and eth1.
But can I create br0.1 and br0.100 for vlans 1 and 100? Will this work?

Thank you!
