hi
i have several diferent Networks and one exit to the internet.
My bandwidth is completly saturated so i decided to create and a bandwith
manager , i intend to use the bridge software in conjunction with iproute2
and iptables.

Now something weird is going on.

when i connect the bridge between the cisco router ( my access to the internet
) and the rest of the internal network, outgoing traffic goes down more than
40%.
Opening webpages takes a lot more of time than without the bridge.

Incoming traffic still saturates the router , i am talking about 18Mbit.
when i did an banwidth test on the bridge in the lab i obtained an excelent
result of 90Mbit.

I already tried to disable spanningtree , but the result is the same

i am running bridge-nf-0.0.10-against-2.4.20.diff on an 2.4.20 kernel.

on one side of the bridge i have only the router and on the other side about
20 machines

the machine that is serving as an bridge is an Athlon XP 2000+ the load
average is 0.00 0.00 0.00 .
memory is ok also
total used free shared buffers cached
Mem: 222764 57588 165176 0 11348 12992
-/+ buffers/cache: 33248 189516
Swap: 1028152 0 1028152

i really don't know what could cause the bottleneck
any ideas ?
