Ahoy,

The bridge module is very nice! I've looking at doing some funky
things with it, and I apologise if these questions are answered in the
archives somewhere.

I want to block certain packets from output on certain ports. One
reason is to implement a do-it-yourself STP-replacement for my
relatively simple (but cyclic) topology. Another is to avoid bridging
certain types of packets to certain ports - for example, to bring DHCP
requests into the bridge interface but not forward them to enslaved
interfaces.

This may all sound a bit odd, but I do need to do it :-)

My question: is there a suitable hook that I can use to implement
these features? I'll need to be able to look at packets themselves,
know which device they came from, and make accept/drop decisions for
each egress port separately.

If no such hook exists, can you suggest a good place to hack one in?

I'm using Linux 2.4.18 right now.

Cheers,
Luke
