Hi,
im using debian linux box as a bridge to protect a private network.
With kernel 2.4.19, "bridge-nf-0.0.7-against-2.4.19" patch and
bridge-utils 0.9.6 its working fine, but brctl shows on all six consols every ethernet-packet which moves through the bridge. I compiled the kernel without "Network packet filtering debugging" option. A common log on the screen (and the file /var/log/messages) looks like:
.
.
.
skb: pf=2 (unowned) dev=br0 len=48
PROTO=17 .... ....
nf_hook: hook 0 already set
.
.
.
Does anybody know hwo the logging of brctl is adjustable?
Thanks Alex

I had same problem

99% you have netfilter debugging enabled in your kernel config

I couldn't stop it any other way than turning it off and compile again kernel

not quick but solves
