It seems the bridge takes on the MAC address of the last added
interface. This poses a problem as one of the devices on our bridge is
a wireless lan card that can be taken out or added at any time. Clients
who attach to the bridge interface work fine until the wireless card is
taken out. At this point the client (which is Win98) can no longer ping
the server because, I believe, the ARP table still points to the
wireless MAC. Pinging from the server to the client fixes this because
the new MAC is updated on the client. Is there a way I can force the
bridge to always take the MAC address of the fixed interface?
