Hey Michael... check out early John Carpenter movies: The Fog, Escape From
New York, They Live!... Music done by one John Carpenter...

It's cheesy synthesiser music, butr effective enough. Given that that stuff
was so effective given 80's cakky synth technology, if you decide on a
sound, you can probably create it using a keyboard and a pc...

one other thing to check out is the track "Waiting for Cousteau" on the
album of the same name by Jean Michel Jarre... on the CD version, it's
46-odd minutes of ambient ocean stuff with a reeaallllllllyy   s  l  o  w
piano thang going on. good for when you want music, but you really don't
want to actually listen to it... :o)
