I don't know if you are in a minority, but I think asking someone not to
discuss something is unreasonable if you can easily filter out or ignore
their posts on disliked subjects. (And everyone here should be able to,
anyone can ask if they need software help)

Personally, I often disagree with John but I think many people here
(esp. in this thread) attack him unfairly. Anything, anytime, from
anyone, is fair game as far as I'm concerned. If you can't keep the
discussion on a reasonable, intellectual level, then just filter or
ignore. I hope no one unsubscribes because of it, but if they do, then
perhaps it is for the best.
