As an aside, thanks to those of you who posted the links to MIT and
Harvard. I now retract my second thoughts on Buchanan, and again assert
that in all likelihood Buchanan received 2,600 votes intended for Al Gore.
In other news, I hear that an anlysis to be published tomorrow from Yale U.
will argue that Bush lost 10,000 votes due to the media's early call of FL
for Gore.
And you thought that this had *aleready* gotten interesting. And this
just in.... Broward County has canceled plans for a hand recount, after
their sample of precincts only turned up 4 extra votes for Gore. Volusia's
hand recount should be done by the deadline. Democrats have withdrawn a
request for a hand recount in Osceola County. This leaves just PBC and
Dade, by my count, that could have their hand recounts affected by
tomorrows 5pm final deadline.
