George W. Bush! Wowsers. Things just keep getting weirder, don't they? If nothing else is accomplished that is positive from this election, it's certainly thrown a 50,000 watt mercury vapor lamp on the dark side of America's election process. Voter intimidation, vote influencing, interception of absentee ballots, stopping people for DWB (Driving While Black), on and on and on. All the things that if this election were taking place in, say, Uganda, we'd be tsk-tsking about. It's a little unsettling. Though amazingly, I read that there was a compromise proposed about recounting all of Florida, and letting the issue drop once that count is done. No more lawsuits, just a concession to the winner.
