The Bush campaign has not requested any, therefore only the counties in which the Gore campaign requested a hand recount are undertaking one. See, Bush doesn't WANT a recount because, from his point of view, he doesn't NEED one. He's satisfied with the result as it now stands - even if it isn't correct. He wants it over NOW, because if it ends now, he's the winner. Recounting votes, even if it were to produce a more accurate count, might jeopardize his victory. Which is fine, if you're a Bush supporter. What do you care if some people's votes weren't counted? You won. But don't then tell Gore supporters that we're the ones who just want to win and don't care about the legitimacy of the election. Because neither do you. Tom Beck
