I haven't checked out the website, but they have riding-mower races here
in Austin every year.
There's a big difference between using a riding mower and using a
walk-behind. (I've done both.) I suspect that Marvin's new mower is a
walk-behind, as you probably want more lawn that I think he has to invest
in a riding mower. I think we're going to have to get one when we build
on the land we've bought, but in the meantime, the walk-behind we have is
quite sufficient to get the job done (at least, everything except the
edging, and a weed-whacker will take care of that easily enough).
And I don't mow if I can help it. I don't like the walk-behind. All the
vibration is transmitted through your hands and into your arms and
shoulders, not spread out over a bigger area of your body as it is with
the riding mower.
