As I remember it, DB's suggestion to pay special attention
to the mousehole was in response to the several people "wondering
out loud" what happened to Tom Orley. I think he was suggesting
that if there were any clues as to Tom's fate, some of them would
be found there. I didn't get the impression that DB was saying
that there's a story in the works to cover those events.
