It's near enough 400 metres. A yard is 3 feet, and for short-ish distances
the difference isn't really relevant.

1 foot = 30.48cm.

1 yard = .91 metres.

Don't worry about yards, Alberto, for most distances where yards are used
(i.e. in running races) yard = metre is good enough to get the idea.
