Party? You think we're going to do a big party about a month after the

Dan had a co-worker who spent an awful lot of money on a bigger, nicer
diamond ring than the engagement ring had been, as a 10th wedding
anniversary gift. When Dan told me what the cost of it had been, my first
thought was to calculate how many brand-new, top-of-the-line computers
that would be. Turned out that was about *his* first thought when he
heard the figure as well. So I told him that if he were tempted to buy me
a new ring, he should just get me a brand-new computer that would start
out as MINE, and leave it at that. :) (I'm starting to get tired of
hand-me-down computers....) So maybe that might happen for our
anniversary. And if it doesn't, I figure it eventually *will* happen.
(I'm not big on expensive jewelry. It makes me nervous that something's
going to happen to it, and why go through all that grief when something
very pretty for under $100 (or under $50, or under $20) accentuates my
beauty just as well?)
