When my husband was actually working at an office in Austin (as opposed to
an office in our house and telecommuting to California), he used to keep 3
humorous things on his door, and change them out regularly. One day his
boss came by, read all 3, and initially thought that the 1st and 3rd were
humor, and that the 2nd (which happened to be the dihydrogen monoxide
rant) was serious. He commented on this to Dan, who was coming out of his
office, and Dan told him to THINK about it. It took him a little bit, but
then he got it. (At least the guy was reasonably sharp in other ways....)
