Just for the record, Dan, I really don't expect to "convert" you to being
a fan of Nietzsche. :-) All I'm really aiming for is to convince you &
others that the evidence indicates he was not a budding Nazi and would
have found Hitler and his gang to be pack of damn fools.
But I've very interested to hear what you have to say. By the
traditional standards of philosohpy his faults are legion, so much so that
often I think of him as more a culture-critic than a straightforward
philosopher.
(BTW, does this mean I'm obliged to go and read Kant's Critique of
Practical Reason? I'm not sure I have the stamina....)
